Highlights
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – First Encounter
We land in Marrakech. The journey begins as our local team greets us at the airport with warm Moroccan hospitality. We transfer to the Kenzi Rose Garden Hotel, a lush oasis of comfort in the Hivernage district. After a personalized check-in and traditional mint tea, we set off—time permitting—for a panoramic tour of the city: the vast Palm Grove, the modern Gueliz district, and finally the legendary Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Sounds, scents and colors draw us into the Moroccan rhythm. The evening wraps up among food stalls, gnawa music and open-air storytelling. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: From Marrakech to Dades Valley – Curves, Kasbahs and Palm Groves
After a hearty breakfast, our bikes await. We set off along the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), Morocco’s highest paved road, where the views unfold into the High Atlas. We descend toward Ouarzazate, the «gateway to the desert», and visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah—an ancient fortress that stood against tribal sieges. Lunch awaits us at La Kasbah des Sables, known for its soul and creative cuisine. In the afternoon, the landscape shifts to arid beauty as we cruise through Dades Valley, framed by timeless kasbahs and green oases. Arrival and dinner at New Mars Hotel under a starry sky.
Day 3: From Dades to the Dunes of Erg Chebbi – Into the Desert’s Heart
We ride on to one of the most awe-inspiring sights of the trip: the Todra Gorges, where vertical rock walls rise up to 300 meters. We walk through this natural marvel, feeling the cool stream that cuts through its base. After lunch in Erfoud, we switch from bikes to 4x4s and take the legendary Dakar Route into the Sahara. At sunset, camels carry us across the dunes toward our nomadic-style desert camp, Golden Camp. Here, dinner is served beneath the stars and the immense silence of the Sahara as our backdrop.
Day 4: Desert Exploration – Fossils, Dunes and Hidden Oases
After a traditional Saharan breakfast, we explore the Erg Chebbi dunes in 4x4s, guided by local experts. We visit a fossil quarry—evidence of the region’s ancient oceanic past—and mysterious sites like the Portuguese prison or the Oubira oasis. Lunch is served at the hidden oasis of Tissemoumine, surrounded by timeless landscapes. In the afternoon, we return to our bikes and ride to Kasbah Tombouctou, a peaceful adobe hotel with a central pool—perfect for relaxing. Dinner buffet and overnight in the heart of the desert.
Day 5: From Merzouga to Drâa Valley – Kasbahs and Timeless Palms
After breakfast, we head to Rissani, a former caravan hub where camel trading still thrives. We continue through the southern terrain toward Nekob, stopping for lunch at the historical Baha Baha Kasbah. The landscape transforms again: dark volcanic hills, endless palms, and traces of ancient Morocco emerge. By sunset, we reach the legendary Drâa Valley, where the river breathes life into the desert. We stay at Hara Oasis, an eco-lodge powered by solar energy nestled among the palms. Homemade dinner and a night in peaceful communion with nature.
Day 6: Ait Ben Haddou – Cinema, Legends and the Return to Marrakech
After breakfast, we ride to one of Morocco’s most photogenic sites: Ait Ben Haddou. This earthen fortress, still home to Berber families, has served as a backdrop for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. We walk its alleys and feel the echoes of ancient trade routes. After lunch with local flavors, we return to Marrakech and return the bikes. The day ends with a gala dinner at Palais Gharnata, an 18th-century Arabic palace where food, music and architecture celebrate the soul of Moroccan culture.
Day 7: Intimate Marrakech – Souks, Senses and Farewell
Today is all about inner Marrakech. In small groups, guided by locals, we dive into the medina’s traditional guilds: the lamp of the goldsmiths, the “baraka” of the carpenters, the secrets of the spice merchants and the perfect tea in a hidden riad. This immersive experience shows us the city’s heartbeat. We lunch at Al Baraka in the iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. The evening culminates with a festive dinner at Jad Mahal, the trendiest spot in town, featuring live music and nightlife. Last night in Marrakech.
Day 8: Departure
A slow breakfast, some last moments of reflection. We return to the airport with relaxed bodies, expanded minds and enriched spirits. Farewell—for now, Amazigh spirit.
